Hoboken Tea Company sells loose-leaf teas and tisanes through our online shop. You can also find our products in person at vendor events in and around Hoboken, NJ.
Brooke LaFlamme, founder of Hoboken Tea Company, is a lifelong tea drinker and budding tea expert located in Hoboken, NJ. Her personal mission is to share her love of tea with her friends and neighbors in the north Jersey community and beyond.
Brooke has a doctorate in Genetics and Development from Cornell University and a broad background in scientific research. In selecting and blending teas and tisanes for Hoboken Tea Company, she combines her scientific expertise with knowledge of the tea world from her own readings and research, as well as formal courses through The Academy of Tea where she is working on certification as a Tea Sommelier. Brooke also has a diploma in Culinary Management from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, which she applies to consulting services such as tea service training and menu design for the hospitality industry.
Teas and herbs used by Hoboken Tea Company are selected for their exceptional quality and, wherever possible, are sourced from farms that use organic, sustainable practices. All of the tea sold through Hoboken Tea Company is loose-leaf. This helps reduce waste from tea bags and minimizes the potential health risks of microplastics and other substances that are often present in tea bags. Plus, brewing loose-leaf tea is surprisingly easy. In case you’re new to loose-leaf tea, the online shop will also carries a selection of accessories to help get you started so you can steep your tea at home or even on the go.
